I don't have cable anymore, really, and I miss CNN terribly. More to the point, I miss my nightly date with Anderson Cooper on 360.
Which is why YouTube is still in business.

You can now watch CNN online through CNN's website and download podcasts of many of their shows from iTunes. Even if you have dial-up and can't handle the video, they have an option where you can just listen to CNN. There is no need for cable to enjoy the AC experience.
I'm all for cable TV substitutions but part of the AC experience is actually watching his delivery. A synoptic video podcast (versus the real thing) is a bit of a downer but better than nada. And certainly better than just listening. Also, who in the continental U.S. still uses dial-up service?
Don't have an opinion on Cooper one way or the other (I'm an NPR girl all day every day), but I just wanted to say welcome back! I got all happy to see my RSS reader update with your blog :)
